Chicago: July 29-31, 2011
As the Red Sox get another month closer to October, the team and its loyal followers help close the month of July with a series on the road in Chicago. Red Sox Destinations guests stayed in the heart of the Windy City and were a short train ride from U.S. Cellular Field. Destinations provided the accommodations, Subway passes, great home plate box tickets, gift bags and a special day of VIP events at the stadium. Destinations guests had a pre-game reception where Marco Scutaro stopped by to take photos with fans, participated in a Q&A session and signed autographs for everyone! Guests then took a tour of the stadium and were allowed to stay in the park to watch batting practice before gates opened to the public. Check out the photos below to see the fun-filled weekend!
Baltimore: July 18-20, 2011
Baltimore is always a hot destination for Red Sox fans, and the midweek series this July was no exception. Red Sox destinations fans stayed at the beautiful Marriott Renaissance Harborplace Hotel, located just minutes from Camden Yards and in the center Baltimore’s waterfront area. Camden Yards has been revered as one of baseball’s top venues and the short trip from New England makes Baltimore an excellent spot for a series retreat. Aside from watching the games, Destinations guests also enjoyed a ballpark tour and then a pre-game reception in the Warehouse at Camden Yards! Dustin Pedroia stopped by to visit with the group; he signed autographs, posed for photos and fielded questions from group members. Guest were ecstatic that Dustin made time to visit with everyone and particularly enjoyed his great sense of humor during the Q&A! Check out a few of the photos below!
Boston vs. Baltimore Orioles: July 8-10, 2011
The Fourth of July Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular marks the height of the baseball season in Boston! Red Sox Destinations guest cameto Boston the following weekend to catch classic AL East matchup against the Baltimore Orioles. Staying in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay, Destinations guests had easy access to all sorts of Boston’s attractions and were just a short walk from the beloved Fenway Park!
Aside from enjoying a couple nights of summer baseball, Sox fans were able to witness part of a four game seep of the O’s. And if that wasn’t enough, Destinations fans also participated in an all-access VIP day at Fenway Park. Guests were able to walk the warning track, explore inside the Green Monter, check out the press box, and even spend time with the Red Sox’ Jed Lowrie! During the pre-game festivities at Fenway, Jed stopped by to visit the group and signed autographs, posed for photos and participated in a Q&A session. Pittsburgh: June 24-26, 2011
Red Sox nation was in full force for the inter-league series at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA this past June. Not only is the Pirates’ park one of the smallest in the MLB, it is also one of the greatest. In fact, ESPN once named PNC Park the best ballpark in America. Red Sox Destinations guests can attest to the enjoyment of watching baseball in The Steel City. Although the Red Sox lost 2 out of 3 to the challenging Pirates, Sox fans were able to take in some exciting baseball in a beautiful setting.
Red Sox Destinations fans stayed across the street from the ballpark in the Pittsburgh’s developing North Shore. Destinations fans had the convenience of stepping out of the hotel and immediately being struck by smells of hot dogs, sausages and popcorn! Aside from enjoying baseball, Destinations guests had the chance to take a tour of PNC Park as well as meet a Red Sox player. Boston vs. Milwaukee Brewers: June 17-19, 2011
The Brewers came to Boston in June for a Father’s Day Interleague match-up. Red Sox Destinations provided fans with hotel accommodations, tickets, gift bags and a couple highlighted VIP events. The beautiful weather provided an excellent backdrop for the weekend of baseball. Fans stayed in downtown Boston, enjoyed great tickets to the games and experienced unparallelled access to Fenway Park. After watching the Red Sox blowout the Brewers on Friday evening, fans arrived for the VIP tour on Saturday in great spirits. The tour included stops on the warning track, inside the Green Monster, on top of the Green Monster, inside the press box and ended in the premium club restaurant for the pre-game reception. Dustin Pedroia stopped by the reception to meet with fans, pose for photos and sign autographs. Check out a few photos from the event below.
Boston vs. Chicago Cubs: May 20-22, 2011
Boston was happy to welcome the Cubs to town this May. As the the team hadn’t visited Beantown since the 1918 World Series, Red Sox fans wanted to witness this historic series 93 which was years in the making. Red Sox Destinations provided a VIP road trip to a group of Sox fans; arranging tickets, first class hotel accommodations in downtown Boston, and incredible access to Fenway Park! The nostalgic atmosphere for the Cubs vs. Red Sox series enhanced the enjoyment of the historic matchup.
After Sox Destinations guests witnessed a win on Friday night, they arrived at the Park in high spirits on Saturday morning for their tour of Fenway! Stops on the tour included the pressbox, the top of the Green Monster and most importantly, the warning track and even inside the Green Monster! Fans got the opportunity to walk where their beloved Red Sox have played for the past 99 years. Check out a few of the photos!

Red Sox Destinations Kicked Off the 2011 Season with a Home Opener Series against the Yankees!
Red Sox DestiNATIONs fans were excited to participate in the 2011 Home Opener Series against the New York Yankees! Celebrating the 99th Anniversary of Fenway Park, the group was able to witness the always highly anticipated Opening Day. Destinations fans witnessed the Sox beat the Yankees, and win the series 2-1. Aside from the games, the Destinations group also gained VIP access to the hallowed Fenway Park; they even got the chance to go inside the Green Monster! Other Destinations’ perks included access inside the press box, meeting Jed Lowrie, taking photos with the 2004 & 2007 World Series trophies and rings and even watching the Red Sox take batting practice from field box seats! Red Sox Destinations Travelers Got Their Fill of Sun, Fun and Baseball Action at 2011 Spring Training!
The Red Sox have begun their 2011 regular season, but before Opening Day, hundreds of Red Sox Destinations travelers descended upon sunny Ft. Myers, Florida to watch their team prepare in the 2011 Grapefruit League. Red Sox Destinations travelers had the opportunity to meet with Daniel Bard, Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Adrian Gonzalez and even skipper, Terry Francona.
