Pittsburgh: June 24-26, 2011
Red Sox nation was in full force for the inter-league series at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA this past June. Not only is the Pirates’ park one of the smallest in the MLB, it is also one of the greatest. In fact, ESPN once named PNC Park the best ballpark in America. Red Sox Destinations guests can attest to the enjoyment of watching baseball in The Steel City. Although the Red Sox lost 2 out of 3 to the challenging Pirates, Sox fans were able to take in some exciting baseball in a beautiful setting.
Red Sox Destinations fans stayed across the street from the ballpark in the Pittsburgh’s developing North Shore. Destinations fans had the convenience of stepping out of the hotel and immediately being struck by smells of hot dogs, sausages and popcorn! Aside from enjoying baseball, Destinations guests had the chance to take a tour of PNC Park as well as meet a Red Sox player. Clay Buchholz stopped by the exclusive pre-game reception to sign autographs, pose for photos and answer questions from group members. Check out a few of the photos from the exceptional weekend!
